All right, my fellow-Fang Bangers... Here is the deal...

dA has been rather short with me and very vague in return to my rants and inquiries about all this BS... However, here is the short of it:

WE ABSOLUTELY CANNOT SUBMIT ANY DEPICTIONS OF ACTORS OR ORIGINAL CHARACTERS UNLESS THEY ARE YOUR ORIGINAL WORK! This means: ABSOLUTELY NO photos or manipulations of photos from the show.

I KNOW! I KNOW! This totally sucks and there are thousands of other fan clubs who have not been picked on and there are TONS AND TONS of depictions of actors and original characters on deviantART and they haven't been removed for COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT... BUT... WE HAVE, so we must play this little tickle-my-dick game and not upset them further.

I don't understand it. I do not like it. I think it is totally UNFAIR BULL SHIT! But, if we are to remain on deviantART, we must follow these rules.

I am looking into trying to get our club sanctioned as an official TRUE BLOOD FANSITE with permission from the ACTUAL producers of True Blood to display art using original photographs from the show... but, until then... we can only submit things we have made ourselves and unfortunately, this means... no icons, no wallpapers and no photomanipulations, my Dears. Your fan art MUST be an original piece of some sort.

Let me just add that I am SO SORRY for the ones of you who had all their Eric art taken down. But, apparently, our club brought unwanted attention from some holier-than-thou douche bag admin who had a burr up their ass and they wanted to do us all in. I am so sorry.

But, we are survivors, yes? And, we shall carry on!!!
